The story of OneAccord begins when an experienced software engineer (and pastor's kid), emigrates from her home country to work abroad and has to look for a new church to call home. As a passionate believer in Jesus, she was torn between two inescapable facts - the importance of being part of a church community vs. the isolation she felt attending churches where she couldn't yet speak the language.
After settling into a great church community, she found herself - several years and countless language lessons later - helping others in the same situation, serving that church as part of a team of English interpreters.
Little did she know that God was laying the groundwork for what was yet to come.
Visiting back home one holiday, the software engineer would find her parents' church in a familiar predicament - struggling to provide live translation for non English-speakers who had called the church 'home'. She would spend most of that holiday coding, creating a simple AI translation platform she called "OneAccord" to help this specific church meet this specific need. No-one dreamt it would go beyond that...until other churches started reaching out.
In response to this need, the simple tool was honed into a powerful AI platform over time, until what started as a labor of love became a translation company dedicated to the body of Christ, supporting over 100 churches across the globe.
Today, our founder and team are still driven by that same mission: to help churches make everyone feel included, heard, and at home - no matter what language they speak. We want to help your church create this community and show a divided world the uniting power of the Gospel.
